The Veterans Forge

Nestled at the base of the Purbeck Hills near Corfe Castle in Dorset, The Veterans Forge has been established to provide veterans with a chance to escape the daily grind and enjoy a serene rural setting while receiving the support they need.

Blacksmithing Opportunities

We offer veterans the opportunity to engage in our forge, learning blacksmithing skills in small groups of four to six.  We aim to assist these individuals with various projects that enhance their skillsets, foster a positive mental outlook, and promote their psychological well-being.  Our mission is to forge not only iron but also personal growth.  Participants will have the satisfaction of creating metalwork items to take home as a testament to their achievements during their stay.

 

Course Offerings and Support

We plan to introduce courses ranging from half-day sessions to week-long experiences, and we will assist with arranging accommodations.

To ensure the sustainability of our Community Interest Company, ongoing fundraising efforts will take place through various initiatives, including the sale of items crafted at the forge.
